Leap Year

Plot (from Wiki) - Anna (Amy Adams) travels to Dublin, Ireland to propose to her boyfriend Jeremy (Adam Scott) on February 29, leap day, because according to Irish legend, a woman can propose to her boyfriend on leap year.While mid-flight to Dublin, there is a storm and they must divert to Cardiff. Anna hires a boat to take her to Cork, but gets only as far as the Dingle Peninsula, where she enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper, Declan (Matthew Goode), to make an unexpected cross-country trek across land and water to pull off the perfect proposal in time, and begins to question her intentions with Jeremy when she makes a connection with Declan.

I saw this movie last night and quite enjoyed it!  The lead pair was cute and charming, their chemistry was great to watch.  Amy Adams and Matthew Goode are both great young actors and I look forward to seeing more of their movies in the future.  The Irish supporting cast was quirky and funny and the scenery was breathtaking (although I expected to see more green images- considering it is called the emerald isle!).
I am surprised by all the negative reviews of this movie posted online. It is a "formulaic" romantic comedy, knowing that I expect to see a formulaic romantic comedy where one knows the journey, one knows the destination and one gets on the "bus" to enjoy the ride.  If you don't like romantic comedies in general then this is not a movie to watch or to review :).

Here is a trailer of the movie from Youtube;
